Mar. 9th, 2007 12:16 amDriving home tonight, the moon was golden and swathed in black clouds. It looked like something out of a story book. I love the color of light. Earlier today, there was a sunset full of pink and purple and blue. Now I'm arranging my roses in the green gold bedroom light. My carnations were fading, so now there are big fat red roses in their place.
Today I was reminded how glad I am not to be twenty two anymore. One does a lot of stupid shit when one is twenty two. I'm looking at my LJ from that year and oh gods above. I was dumb. Also today I had to ban someone from my journal for the first time this year. How terribly droll. I'm getting too old to have arguments with twenty two year olds on the internet. Not that there is much point in bickering on the internet, or putting up with the sort of nonsense livejournal seems famous for having. Though I have to admit, it has given me a reason to laugh in the midst of what was otherwise a long day.
I was going to use the awesome Hello Kitty icon Racheline made for me, but perhaps that's just too petty. It's a hilarious icon though. She chose the perfect font.
For the record, fuck funerals. I'm not going and that's final.
Mike and I had dinner at Zen, where we discussed the merits of noodles and chopsticks. I saw more Cirque du Soleil this evening, and it was even more fascinating than the first. Ballerinas! People on tightropes! Trampolines and bicycles and giant wheels! This also helped take the edge off the day.
I need a strapless bra. I had one, but I have no idea what happened to it. I have three fancy cocktail dresses now, and for some reason they all have halter necks. Hmm. I could also use some new shoes. Maybe tomorrow after work I will try to acquire these items.
Tyler got crazy news about things at work. He's in a tizzy about it, and has to go to work at 7am tomorrow. How un-fun.
This weekend promises to be entertaining. Movies tomorrow, swimming at the lake Saturday morning, Snow Patrol concert Saturday night, and at some point there will be playing with the puppies. My mother said sometimes they get so excited about walking that they just fall over. Their eyes are open now, and their ears too.
