Embarassing admission of the day: those commercials for the Marines make me choke up.
Anyhow, today I went to another yoga class. We did many exercises designed to open up the hips and work on balance. In doing this, I discovered that I have poor balance and I still have some issues with my right hip. I need to work on making sure I keep it in line. Also, it seems that my favored sleeping position is the worst possible thing for my lower back and hip. Sigh. But the good side is that I have an excuse to buy a big pillow to help alleviate the problem.
The news about the massacre at Virginia Tech makes me think of all the other terrible things I've watched on the news over the years. I don't think I'll ever forget watching Columbine unfold from the breakroom in the advertising offices at the Texan. But I will say that guns just make it easier to kill people. People are the real problem.
USAA needs to stop sending me brochures for fancy diamonds.

I'm thinking about a lot of big changes in my life. Mostly they are hypothetical things right now, but there is the sense in the air that something's coming.
