all is well I think
Sep. 16th, 2007 02:30 pmI hadn't realized that no journal entries were written over the past few days. I started one at work on Friday, but never got around to actually posting it. Friday was hectic, what with the setting up of a new group of people to start their shifts. After work I drove to Grapevine Market to pick up a couple bottles of wine as a birthday present for our friend S., who was celebrating his 31st that evening. We were 45 minutes, and it was all my fault. (I was running the old Hillsbrad quests, doh.) I apologized alot to S. and his partner J. for it but that went right out the window when S. accidentally called me 'Amy.' hahahahah, it was hilarious when he realized the mistake. It was a good party, with super delicious chocolate cake and the lovely, romantic announcement of the upcoming wedding of S. and J. possibly in March. They really are the most adorable couple I know. (And I'm horribly envious, as they are spending Christmas in the Ukraine with S.'s parents.)
Most of my time lately is spent watching Koshka. He has taken to us far more quickly than I would have ever imagined, given his history. He sits in the living room now, sleeps on the stairs, comes begging for pets and treats. I can hear him purring across the room. His favorite trick is to fall over sideways, so you will pet both his belly and his back. It's quite cute. A couple times, he has even gone to sleep on my foot. Mike and I adore him. I find it hard to believe he is so old! He doesn't seem it at all. I am really looking forward to my mother coming to meet the kitty.
Today I went shopping for clothes, again. This time I bought four pairs of jeans, a pin striped blazer, two camisoles, a tank top, a dress two shirts and two headbands for $150. I win. I tried on this green satin shirt that was the perfect color but the construction was all wrong. A shame.
