open skies
Nov. 30th, 2007 03:23 pmI left work just before six, when the sun set and the sky turned purple and gold. I was late leaving because I was talking to Christie and Amy, my fellow peer trainers. I gave them my stuffed vulture, our team mascot, as well as my lucky cat figure, a plush marshmallow peep, and all my push pins. They are a worthy commodity in the office. It wasn't a bad day. I said goodbyes, ate some chocolate cake, and did a last little bit of teaching. Liza, this lovely girl with a crisp South African accent, took some photos of my engagement ring and will email them to me. Hopefully soon I'll be able to post them up here.
No more office. No more, no more. I'm settling in with a cup of coffee, a couple Oreos and going to do some research on the death penalty as public policy for my first writing assignment. Oh, and I'll play some WoW.
We celebrated last night with dinner at Luby's, and ice cream from Amy's. Mike bought new pants at Express, and I bought some peppermint soap.
