I have this postcard at home!
My own icon of James Murdoch, presumptive heir to Rupert Murdoch. Racheline found this picture from some press conference or presentation and we exclaimed over how an ordinary man looked so diabolical at that angle. I've never seen him look like it since.
My favorite fandom wanks:
Victoria Bitter - What is there not to love about a person who claimed to channel the spirits of hobbits, pretended to be Elijah Woods' brother, ripped off a charity organized by fans and in her apology for that claimed she was a Rare Lesbian Paladin. That my friends is not even the half of it!!!
WIKKT/Pawn to Queen happened in my early days in fandom. It was absolutely astounding to see people flip their shit over a piece of fanfiction. My email box was overflowing.
Cassie Claire gets into everything, it is a law of fandom. My favorite part of the wank was not the plagarism but the whole people giving her money to buy a new laptop thing. You could envision people foaming at the mouth while commenting.
MsScribe, owner of many sockpuppets and a person with way too much free time. I can't decide if I am amused or depressed that someone would go to such lengths to get attention, create wank and be a BNF. Damn.
Last but not least, the origin of MY HED IZ PASTEDE ON YAY!. I commented several times in that epic thread, and remember gleefully reading new pages in the morning. I can't possibly summarize my feelings of deep hilarity and explain. April 16, 2004 and ongoing!
