kiss them for me
Apr. 16th, 2008 01:19 amI spent an hour driving around in the dark, circling the highway and listening to the radio play songs I knew from 1989. Silly waste of gas, I know, with things the way they are now. But I suppose you would have to grow up in a place like this, around the same time, to know why sometimes it is a necessary thing.
It reminded me of how much I liked to smoke in the cold, how the air would knife into my wrist at the window and the dark clarity of the night made everything just be everything.
