I haven't really cried today. I think I did so much of it on Friday that today it was just a sense of relief that it was over and done. Inevitability and I are not friends. So off we went to
catelin's house for a Dia de los Muertos party, which was apt for the moment. There was wine and sangria and something made out of hibiscus flowers and mole enchiladas and cornbread and churros and food, food, food. We decorated sugar skulls, which was awesome and fun. Mike made some really awesome ones. They are now up on our mantle.
On the drive down I-35, we saw a car on fire. Seriously. There was what appeared to be an Acura on the right side of the road, covered in flames and thick grey smoke. When we were about 15 yards away, the gas tank exploded. It shot a huge horizontal gout of flame onto the road. I have no idea if anyone was in the car, if it was a wreck or a mechanical failure, or what happened. It was scary as hell. When I called 911, the operator assured me the emergency services were on their way.
At last, we have pictures of Mellocreme Pumpkin Candy Kitteh! I'm glad he is here, because it would be so hard to be totally without kitties after Koshka. So many people have commented and I really will get around to thanking everyone soon. It means a lot to me.
Why, hello there...

Gigantic kitteh demands pets nao!
