friday afternoon sundries
Oct. 2nd, 2009 04:04 pmI making beef stock. Please let this not be the kitchen disaster my last round of cooking became.
I have lots of beets. Provided the beef stock turns out, I am going to roast them with potatoes and make borscht.
Last night there was a glorious bit of thunder and rain. Today is just humid, but at least cloudy.
My bat is flying out of Phoenix. Flap, flap, flap.
Oh Project Runway. What's with the ruffles? I'm starting to think that one guy is unable to make sleeves. But I think the shirt dress was nice, and I like the stripes.
I really want to bake some cupcakes or something and put the monkey head candies on them.
This morning I did another media panel study, and wow - Ruby & The Rockits? ABC Family has some of the worst programming ever. Does David Cassidy have some gambling debts hanging over his head to force him to shoot this tripe? Also, the weird sort of bestiality reference was very, very uncomfortable. I'm glad I was paid for that half hour of my life.

Speaking of books I am on the last fifty pages of Last Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko. It's great. (Over the past week I re-read the previous three to immerse myself in his excellent world.)
