Summary: Town fire librarians. Eleven year old goes to village council meeting to speak about how important the library is to her. Lawyer gets up and makes little girl cry, then gloats about it to a reporter.

Seriously? Did that guy *never* use a library in college or law school? It's like some comic book villain or every stereotype of wealthy, self loathing asshats everywhere. (Even the name! And president of the home owner's association.) Wow. There's a guy who deserves to be dropped off in a Brazilian slum without any shoes. The unfortunate part is that he's probably reveling in the press and the attention.
The inability of people to behave in a civil, reasonable manner in our society makes me crazy.
