friday night

We had our almost weekly dinner at La Brissa. A guy comes and plays live music on Friday or Saturday evenings, mostly covers and a couple of his own songs. It's pretty enjoyable, and the food is so delicious. They cook pork extremely well there. It's tasty and juicy and well seasoned and just... delicious. Plus they have lots of different salsas and it is right down the street from the house.

I keep seeing these commercials on A&E for this awful looking show, Psychic Kids. Talk about awful, melodramatic, exploitative crap. My ability to imagine why anyone, anywhere, thinks this is a good idea seems quite limited.

We are watching Boondock Saints II. My oh my. This script is seriously weird.

I bought a bunch of books out of a clearance rack. Short stories by Francine Prose, Rick Moody and some other lesser known writers. I finished The Peaceable Kingdom by Prose this morning. I'd read Blue Angel ages ago when it first came out, but haven't read more by Prose since. I think I need to remedy that because the writing is beautiful.

Currently I am trying to decide what size food processor I need. I am leaning towards a 10/11 cup size. I think 14 might just bee too much, but I don't think the seven cup size will be quite enough. I sold Mike on the idea by mentioning it would make large scale baklava production much simpler.

Dragon Age is really fun. I found myself to the gay elf sex. Haha!
