We're watching the film version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. So far, visually, it is amazingly accurate to my internal picture of everything. I've heard there's going to be a Hollywood remake and all I can say to that is feh. This movie is seriously spooky.

I have a toothache. Argh. I'm so sick of the various aches and pains and maladies of this year.

If you get a chance to watch this, it is worth the time. It's astonishingly faithful to the book and spot on target visually. The movie has a lot of sexual violence, but it isn't romanticized. It even seems to avoid the salacious torture porn vibe of a lot of films made in the past several years.

Noomi Rapace is totally amazing as Lisbeth Salander. A-fucking-mazing.

Most of all it makes me want to go back and read the books all over again.
