Nov. 24th, 2011 11:36 amIt's a lovely day. I ran my robot friend to clean some floors this morning while I cleared off the kitchen table. I made shortbread that smelled divine, and then I covered it in chocolate, almonds and mini marshmallows. Sort of like a rocky road cookie. The most fun part was pulling out the mini torch and toasting the marshmallow tops just a little bit.
Between this recipe and my successful bison cooking, I feel like I've gone up a level in my cooking skills. Ding! Next level unlocked! It's nice to feel like I'm progressing, learning new things. Later we're going to make these German butter cookies with a recipe that requires, I kid you not, two pounds of butter.
There is a kitty sleeping in a sunbeam by the door.
I am really grateful for my absurd, strange life. I have been places I never thought I would be.
