Nov. 23rd, 2011 10:39 pmThe sound of chainsaws drove me out of the house this afternoon. I'm a little perturbed because the tree coming down looked quite lively. It feels like every other day, someone is cutting down a tree or one is cracking and falling. It's rained a couple times, but not enough. The drought is slowly sucking the life out of the ground.
Mike and I plan on just hanging out and making cookies all day tomorrow. It's such a task, making cookies. There's so much rolling and cutting. We are thinking about going to Luby's for food, because who wants to cook a meal after spending all day opening and closing the oven anyway.Though I do have to make coleslaw for the potluck we're going to on Friday night. At least that requires only the food processor.
Haven't really done the things I planned to do this week. I'm feeling sort of run down.
