there are sounds you cannot hear
Aug. 2nd, 2012 06:50 pmI really could dance to VNV Nation all night. It makes me ridiculously happy when they burst into life over the speakers.
The music was really good last night, the best I've heard it on a Wednesday. I danced solidly for hours, only leaving the floor twice to get drinks and smoke a cigarette on the patio. I didn't see the couple people I sort of know from conversations outside. So it was just dancing, dancing, dancing forever. Or at least for three hours until the club closed for the night.
I sort of actually like going alone.
Making myself dance, especially when the floor is sparsely populated, is still a little hard and requires some alcoholic courage. (Note to self - don't drink so many bloodshots because that vodka is potent) Last night I made myself do it, even though I found it slightly terrifying. I tell myself that they are all looking at the pretty goth girl in the black dress and not me.
