waking thoughts

Watching people shop at Macy's on the news. Kind of dreading going to work later. It's been a long time since I worked retail around the holidays.

Stayed up last night watching The Women, based off Claire Booth Luce's play. Good movie. I dreamed of catty comments and techincolor dresses when I finally went to bed.

Some closure but not really.

Are holidays hard for you?

They've never really been too difficult for me personally. This year will probably be very hard, because of the divorce. I feel very sad this year that I haven't felt the same excitement about them I've always had. For a lot of reasons I suppose.

Working during the holiday is always un-fun, no matter what I'm doing.

I recall when my holiday excitement disappeared. Quite disappointing. Now it is surrounded by reminders of my families and their stupidity; lack of ability to accept one another with flaws.

Several people have recommended that movie to me, but I've never gotten to see it. Where'd you rent it from?

yes, I bet you would love that movie

I actually caught it on late at night on one of the old movie channels. AMC I think. But it's something you could probably even find at Blockbuster.
