When I was younger, I had no idea other people did this kind of thing. For me, it was always very private. A kind of dreamland to retreat to when I was tired of dealing with everything else. In a way, oddly comforting in the way reading has almost always been for me.
Retreating has never been the best way to deal with anything, but sometimes it makes more sense.
