Did a little Christmas shopping yesterday. Afterwards I saw Vampire Hunter D II again with Micah. I like that movie. A lot. Some weird plot twists.

Stayed up very late, hanging out in Metro and Le Fun. I had forgotten how great pinball is.

I slept way too late.

Hi again! I was in Austin today to see that movie with Jean. She's been waiting for it so long, and I've just been thirsting for a really good anime movie (and didn't even know it til now). You're right, that opening scene was glorious; the whole was. That goofy cross-studded tank! That infirm psychomancer! And a very special cameo by Marilyn Manson as the adorable Benge {jk!!!}. And 'twas so like the original movie in only the right ways. I'm especially grateful no inane pop music was smuggled in like with some dubbed films I could name. *achem*

But MIKE McSHANE was his HAND?!?! WTF? I plotzed.

I really appreciate your way with writing. Even something as quotidian as a livejournal you appear to have no trouble stocking with well-tempered Klavier prose. I like the introspective bits. You remind me of my dear friend Elisabeth, who recently ran off to England; all cosmopolitan and thoughtful. She'll occasionally "fwd" me some snippet she's penned and her style is smooth like butter. Plus, you seem to share some of her tastes-- it was largely her doing that I ever listened to Tori Amos in the first place, and she couldn't be madder about Hogwarts if an 'In This Style 10/6' note were slipped into her hatband!

P.S. Afraid I've never actually heard The Well-Tempered Klavier. Does it hurt?
