Aside from the nightmares and the jittery sense of morning, the first day of my last semester went well. I drowsed in Nutrition, taught by this woman who I just can't take seriously. She should be an elementary school teacher.

My Classics course, however. That is something to be relished. Dr Gwyn Morgan is a fearsome and strange man, and quite likely mad as a hatter. I like it already. He stalked and snarled and made striking comments about Rome, history, writers, journalistic spin, and movies. I think this will be interesting.

Daina sent me a delightful gift, an old issue of Life with pictures of the Velvet Revolution, and some Russian artwork of Cossacks. Truly fabulous stuff that I can't wait to show off. The pictures of Prague, of the striking actors, of Havel, of the police... amazing. To know just how big that space is and how many people must have been there. Wow.

Hah! Interesting interesting interesting.
Dr Morgan as the most eligible bachelor in Classics? That is so so funny. I suppose I could see that. ;)

Oh joy, I'm delighted with my choice of classes this semester.
