I'm losing my ability to read English, I think. Managed to mix up my work schedule from morning to night, and wound up a bit late today. Work was exhausting in an ugly way, especially the buy table.

This horrible buy took up my entire shift. This man, Juan, stayed within three or four feet of me the entire time. To add to the tension and unnerving atmosphere, he kept playing with his pocket knife, and staring at me, taking books out of my hands and interrupting anytime I asked my coworker a question. I sorted through his half dozen large boxes of stuff, and finally offered him $44.50. He had a little fit, and decided to disrupt all my stacks, and pull out some books. So I wound up recounting and adjusting his total offer down a couple dollars. He took this and complained all the way out the door. This took aproximately an hour and a half.

The highlight of work was putting my cooking section back up, and assembling the display table. Now I'm home, with some groceries and very sore feet, watching Sean Connery in The Name of the Rose. I didn't know there was a film version, and so far it's rather dark.

I watched the film before I read the book.

The book is better, yes indeed.

But hey, a YOUNG Christian Slater is nude! Rawk on!

And the whole vibe of the film is great, just damn great.

Bizarre.
That's why he looks so familiar!! I didn't realize that was Christian Slater. Wow.

Everything is on fire now...

Hehe...I'm all too familiar with that movie. Back in the day, my best friend had a Christian Slater obsession. She would rewind over and over to look for that split second of half an inch of visible winky. Anyway, Christian Slater winky or no winky, it was still a good movie.

That's hilarious, and sounds like something I wound have done when I was thirteen or so. I watched a lot of weird and not so great movies to see people I obsessed over. At least this is a great movie.

good fun that flick. Book was a great read too. I have a soft spot for Eco, but his last book I just couldn't make it through. The guy writes like a hyperactive person, always jumping back and forth with his narratives, makes my head swirl trying to keep up. But it's good fun. Besides any movie where I get to hear Sean Connery shay hish esshesh ish worth it.

Heh, I love that voice. Eco is neat, though I'll admit a bit taxing to read.
