I have a latent fondness for Lubbock, as odd as that sounds. When I was very young, my family lived there and I have good memories of that time and place.
Yes, I'm studying Czech & Russian at UT in Austin. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. I'm doing a conference course on Josef Skvorecky this semester, my all time favorite Czech writer. Excellent stuff.
