threeplusfireI finally found my check book and my missing W2, and now another crucial bit of paper has gone missing. *sigh* To top it off, I think I might actually have to pay taxes this year. How depressing. At least I have leftover scholarship money for that. Thank God for that. I think it will tide me over for moving expenses and such things, and there will still be enough to go to New York.
Decided last night that I want to go to New York for my birthday. I will see Reive and we will watch Alan Rickman be smashing and witty onstage. To see genuine theater again! And to have wonderful conversations about all the strange things that we share. A perfect present, and it continues my vow to have my birthday in a different place every year. At least for my 20s. Much sooner however, I will take a little trip down to visit Cate and see her wonderful house.
I'm thrilled that I have finally grown up enough to not be afraid to travel on my own. This may sound like such a little thing, but it's terribly important to me. For so long, I've yearned for things I've been too hesitant to reach for and now it feels like that is changing.
Trying to memorize my lines, washing dishes, writing checks and stamping envelopes. Such is life this morning. It rained a little earlier, but the humidity is not bad at all. I have finally freed myself from the flu as well. Funny how it stopped after I spent a night in a smoky bar.
