The last thing I bought? a bottle of wine, which we polished off in no time. Getting to be pros at this sort of thing.

Dinner tonight was the best meal I've had, a multitude of grilled things at the Clay Pit, and a few drinks, something red and vodka. The bartender was friendly and offered to make them with Stoli Vanilla, and they tasted divine.

Neat bartender story.... a friend of mine was working and a costumer, randomly, had some mango sherbet with him. He hands the pint to the bartender and says, go nuts!, so the bartender just threw in some vodka, shook it up real good, and made vodka-smoothie-martinis. Best drink he ever had, quothe he.

That had no point, but doesn't it sound nummy?
