6 books for $30

Kohout's I am Snowing and White Book
Klima's Love & Garbage and Lovers For a Day
Iva Perkarkova's The World is Round
Martin Simecka's The Year of the Frog

There were even more, but the ladders were rickety and my arms were already full. Delight.

Happy birthday to me. Though I don't think I could ever really get old, as my face still breaks out like I'm fifteen, especially today. I feel a bit like a leper.

Thank you! It has been quite happy, ever since I went out to smoke a cigarette and talk to the doorman this morning. :) I do so enjoy NYC.

Hippo Birdies Two Ewe!!!!!!!!

So glad I got to meet you and swap jaunty tales of debauchery. Perhaps I'll journey to the Czech Republic some distant day when I have cash... :)

Happy Happy Birthday, Amanda.

I'm so bummed I didn't get to meet you. This weekend has been NON STOP for me.
But it looks like you had fun in NYC and MAY be back again in the near future, I'm hoping?

BTW, The Hangwoman by Kohout is one of the best books ever written, I think!

Happy Belated Birthday!

(LJ did not send me the customary reminder!)

I am glad you had a good time in New York.

I'm sure you will have much fun, expecially if you go see Private Lives. :D

The Strand is exactly what my store should be.

Thank you. :D
I really must come back to NYC, if only to meet you and your cats! What a wonderful city it is. I think if I were to settle down anywhere in America, it would be there.

I have not read the Hangwoman, I shall have to dig it up.
