Saw Lord of the Rings for the fourth or fifth time tonight, because it's still playing at this discount theater. One gets what one pays for however, and the couple next to me were more annoying than anything. She spent half the movie hiding her head and he translated and explained the entire damn movie to her in what was either Spanish or Portugese. I seriously thought about dumping our soda over their heads.

But the movie, oh the movie. It shakes me in the quiet places in my head, and brings to life the images I held as a child. The woods, the Nazgul, the skies, everything is as I dreamed it to be. I think the Wraiths are still one of the most terrifying things ever.

"All we must do is decide what to do with the time given to us." I wanted to take his hand then, for a moment live the way I've always wanted to.

The rain has let us briefly, and I wonder how long it will continue. I miss you already, in the hollow spaces that demand the presence of your voice and your eyes and your hands.

Yeah, well ~I~ saw it at the IMAX theatre tonight.
So nyah! :P
I had a pretty bad epxerience myself however.
I had a family of ten sitting behind me. 4 kids who were never taught that it's rude to talk during a movie. One girl who actually answered her phone during it. A father and a boy, who I can only assume is his son due the the exact same way they do not keep there mouths shut as they both*smack smack smack* chew their popcorn. And a noisy who's mother never got up to leave, even when the baby was crying. "And a partirdge in a pair tree"
I almost said something really mean, but then I turned around and realised that it was mostly just kids within reasonable berating distance, not too mention the fact that as a family unit they outnumbered my mother and I five to one, not including the baby.

That must have been nice, the IMAX theater. I loved those things when I was a kid.

It's going out into public places like movie theaters that exposes me to the general cross section of humanity and reminds me over and over again just how much people tend to disappoint me. I'm sheltered, sort of, in that I hang out in Metro with Gene and Melynda and the Metro folks will kick out the annoying bastards.

When I rule the world... sigh.
