There's a broken-winged bluejay outside. I have watched him for weeks, hopping, climbing the trees. I am not sure why I am compelled to note its presence in my life.

Many things undone. Much packing that I still need to do. So many things left unsaid, left behind.

I remember seeing a bird with a broken wing at my house. I felt sorry for it and I decided to bring to the opposite of animal control, I forget what they're called. It was quite a task getting him/her in the box since as soon as I came near a flutter of wings would occur.

The wildlife rescue folks bring a lot of animals to the vet clinic where my mother works.
