threeplusfireThe NHL All-Stars game is on. Yeah, I dig hockey. It all goes back to a practice session for AP English in high school. The practice piece we read was this incredible observation of a hockey practice. The writer's eloquence astounded me, and I started watching hockey that year though I've never been a big sports fan. Hockey impresses me since I can't even roller skate. There is a great deal of skill and raw power involved. Being able to skate well and fast, chasing a small round puck with sticks, crashing into other players, coordinating, racing, fighting. Sometimes I think I can almost see a complete pattern to their movements, and then they break off into a swirl.
Denis Leary is doing commentary! Heh. This just gets better and better. I am baking sourdough bread, with all my windows and doors open to the beautiful weather.
Amazing how God moves. All the things I was afraid of last night, all of my doubts were confronted by the scriptures read today. About Christ asking Simon to cast out his nets, to not be afraid, and to follow him. I think I was meant to hear that this morning.
