I hear the alarm clock

The only truly difficult part about sleeping on the couch is the noise, and the lack of true darkness. But I do feel more at home here, perhaps because I've spent all these years building a life outside of what I once was.

I dreamed a lot, about Gregg, and house foundations, and Brno, and things left unsaid. There were many cakes decorated with cherries and strawberries.

Some day, I want to see autumn with leaves that change colors.

Perhaps the Tsarina should just tour the realm. She's been staying here for quite a long time, and she quite likes the royal court she knows in New York.
