Nov. 6th, 2002 05:59 pmon my way up north
up on the Ventura
I pulled back the hood
and I was talking to you
and I knew then it would be
A life long thing
but I didn't know that we
we could break a silver lining
and I'm so sad
like a good book I can't put
this day back
a sorta fairytale with you
Change the setting a little bit, and it tells a story of mine. Weird how that works, how I hear that song and feel that summer all over again. Because, I figured it out, it started in the summer.
Strange sometimes, to be this old. Which is not so old at all relatively, but old for me. Old for a girl who was convinced that she wouldn't make it to twenty. To have this perspective on my choices, it is a little disconcerting. As if I am a wholly other person. Which, given certain habits and peculiar affections, is entirely possible.

I really must go back to New York. If only for the people, the hot dogs, and the Egyptian wing of the Met.
