swept away

Listening to the commentary, and watching these hours of interviews, it becomes more and more clear that the people who worked on these films are undoubtedly some of the most amazing people on the planet. The development of the script, the constant evolution during the filming, the attempts to translate huge expository passages onto the screen... it's un-fucking-believable. All these stories, wrapped together, worlds and worlds without end.

Oh, what I wouldn't give...

Also on the list is that Alan Rickman apparently has massive stage fright (and if you ask me, it showed in the first ten minutes of Private Lives), and any number of actors I admire who busted their asses at acting or other random crap for a decade before shit happened for them. And I love that not because it gives me hope that persistance pays off. I love it because it proves there are people as mad in the world as me, who won't give up their dreams just because it's apparently polite to do so after a year or two.

Ahh, now that is something I should remember. Especially now. I've never had many personal female heroes or role models, or such things for a lot of reasons. But you are on my short list, with Catelin and my Czech professor Hana.
