stories

Listening to Christopher Lee speak about Sauroman is fascinating. The cast commentary is quite interesting, talking about the characters, reminiscing about pranks and the construction of dialogue and scenes. I feel goofy and over dramatic, constantly repeating how wonderous all of this is, but it is the truth. This movie is amazing

And knowing that Elijah Wood overshot the ferry the first time he took that running leap and swandived into the water is great. He has the best giggle.

I love DVDs. There are a multitude of stories connected with making movies and I love to hear them. Especially when the people who made the movie are so passionate about it.

I have to wait until my birthday for the extended LotR. *sigh*

The stories on these are definitely amazing. The sheer amount of labor that went into creating these images is overwhelming... building models, sets, animation, language coaching, sword training, boating, stunt men, body doubles, makeup... Now wonder they've been working on this since 1998. Ye gods!
