Gregg Araki movies remind me of Bret Easton Ellis novels, and I have the bad taste to like both. Both of them require volume and room to scream.

I'm in an absolutely hellishly weird mood. Not bad, I suppose, just weird.

Crash is running on the television, I have my headphones on and my mp3s cycling, I'm reading a book, smoking a cigarette and typing, as much of it at once as I can take. I think today is just one slow subtle build up to a big explosion of energy.

The Living End and Doom Generation were both interesting; by contrast, Nowhere was the most aply titled movie I've ever seen : P›

I haven't seen Nowhere, and I need to dig it up. They're just so strange.

1.Did you see Greg araki's "Nothing"?
2.I read "Crash." It is so much sicker than the movie.

1. Sorry, in my hung over state I was thinking of another movie by that title, but it wasn't Gregg Araki. I've never seen Nowhere.

2. Yes, the book is even more disturbing. JG Ballard is neat.

Was it "nothing" or "nowhere?"
"Nohere" was such a bizaare movie-I can't belive they got so many famous actors to be in such a bizarre, piece of shit movie.Araki must have had blackmail material on someone.

The dialog in "Doom Generation" made fingernails against a chalkboard sound like lovely lovely Ludwig fucking Van. "Nowhere" is great eye candy but usually best viewed with the mute button engaged. James Duvall (the poor man's Keanu Reeves) should be executed for his crimes against humanity. Why him? Out of all of the out of work actors out there, why him? Dear sweet merciful Christ, James Duvall??!?

Yeah, I have to agree. I like to watch those movies on mute, and put something else on the stereo. It's like a crash, I just can't pull my eyes away.

And James Duvall! I need to see Nowhere so I too can be appalled.
