dude

Went to Dairy Queen and picked up a dude* before coming back to the Little House to watch The Big Liebowski, which is one of the funniest movies of all time. The moon is full and incredibly bright, and it's so quiet out here. Life is grand.

*Dude = Chicken Fried Steak sandwich combo meal, which was surprisingly good. It isn't Texas if you don't eat at Dairy Queen every now and then.

in nocona, texas (quite near oklahoma really, but still in texas so it counts) -- dairy queen is not just for ice cream, it's the hub of society. on wednesdays they have all you can eat beans (not chili) and cornbread. and for some reason all the regular food is better there than at other dairyqueens, too. here in PA i'm pretty sure they don't have the "dude" combo-- chicken fried steak? not for MILES. they have a facismile of chicken fried steak at this chain called "friendly's" (a tasty denny's of sorts, with, ice cream)-- but i'm too afraid to even attempt it, cause i would probably start crying :( i miss texicalli on oltorf. *THAT* is chicken fried steak! (and waffle fries, and texas toast........*cry*)
