I cry in movies, frequently. I have cried every single time I've seen The Two Towers for one reason or another. I cry when watching The Last Unicorn, for god's sake. I cry when I read books, and there are many of those.

But there are very few things that will make me weep as if it were real. Dancer in the Dark was one of those, because of how I feel about the death penalty and Bjork's performance. I sobbed my way through the last fifteen minutes and had a mild nervous breakdown. That's a beautiful, amazing movie and sadly I will never be able to watch it again.

I think watching Ewan McGregor as Christian break down in the end of Moulin Rouge was one of the most awful, wrenching performances I've ever seen. Here I am, watching a movie I didn't expect to like at all, and crying out loud.

Gene was kind to me today, in an unexpected way. I care very much for him, you know. I wish we lead less complicated lives sometimes.

I am the same way. Moulin Rouge makes me sob like there's no tomorrow. In fact, when I'm depressed, I listen to the soundtrack.

The other movie that makes me sob, no matter when I watch it, is Shawhank Redeption ... The part with Brooks just ... It does me in every time.

I was quite surprised I liked it so much because Baz kinda scares me, and I usually can't stand musicals.

I've never seen that, but I've heard that from many people.

You should definately see Shawshank. One of the best movies ever.


Baz is scary. But, then I did like R&J a lot. I wasn't sure if I was going to like MR, but I did. And I cried.

awwww. i cry when i watch the last unicorn too. sniff.. i wish we could watch it together and just sob our eyes out. that sounds fantastic.

I don't really tend to get all that cracked out about the love story in mr but i feel for his character so badly and his sobbing at the end really fucks with me.

Oh, not braver. Just getting more verbal and crazy as the years go by. I love to pontificate on love and despair, and great stories. I'm so much fun at parties, let me tell you. ;)
