The kiss scene in Amelie is one of my favorite cinematic romantic moments in the whole of film. There's something so well done about it, how they move.

I saw a French film many years ago, mid 90s I think, at the Village Cinema. It was about a girl who lives with a gay boy, and she leaves her cat with this woman who takes care of cats for people in Paris while they are away. The cat gets lost, and a lot of the movie is taken up in her trying to find it. There is a boy who helps her, who is slightly odd. I can not remember the name of this film and it is killing me, because it was the most joyous thing I have ever seen. I must find it again.

I love Amelie.

I want to see the new Audrey Tatou movie - I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but it's supposed to be brilliant.

An older movie, but an absolutely wonderful one you might like is the one I mentioned above, Chacun cherche son chat. A kind LJ person knew the name.

Why is it that girls named Audrey are always beautiful actresses?

Lovely! I shall have to look about for it.

I do not know, but you're right, the two things do seem to coincide.

This movie (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0291579) is the one I meant.

Oh I really must see that. I love to watch Samuel Le Bihan.
