So past 2am, Gene and I decide to go to Metro. He's pouring through Zamyatin's We, trying to gell a thesis for his paper, and me, I'm just up. Hell I just want a cup of coffee. I drove us down, and inflicted my singing along to Russian pop on him. Anthony was in, with his super sweet gigantic laptop. The screen is enormous. Huge. Beautiful. It runs so fast, and smooth and oh I'm so envious. Best $3600 laptop ever. Weighs fifteen pounds or so. Monster machine. So after his exams next week, we are going to start work on the Metro site. Whee.

I watched him play Need for Speed 2, and the headphones were amazing. The sound and the graphics made me almost queasy and I want to play so badly now. I was ducking and dodging in my seat everytime he took a sharp curve or crashed into something. Mmm video games.

Wrote a little bit, laughed a lot, drank coffee, was generally happy. It has been a damn fine day. Every day should be like this one. Now it's 5am and I really should sleep, but I'm wired, on the wired.

I truly admire your icon, the one with the approaching lips and the bright color of fire in the background

Ahh, thank you. A friend found it on a stock photography website and cropped the image for me. I think it's quite beautiful this way, so warm and inviting.

It reminds me of Keats poem Ode to a Grecian Urn:

"Bold Lover, never, never canst thou kiss,
though winning near the goal -yet, do not grieve;
she cannot fade, though thou hast not thy bliss,
for ever wilt thy love, and she be fair!"

Ahh, it's a lovely thing to receive a bit of poetry in your mail box on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you.
