Christopher Walken does a scary turn as the archangel Gabriel, because in this movie he's lost his faith and the word. Talk about twisted canon. And there are sequels to this thing? Crikey. As I said to someone this morning, I'm going to run into Mortensen one day and tell him how many bad movies I watched just to see him act. It's hard to play Lucifer well.

Woke up much later than I planned, and hence am not doing anything useful like I should. Well. So it goes. I have a whole weekend to run around and be mad in my own way. Hana's going to talk to me about schools on Sunday, and I'll work up a list of places I should apply to and I need to hunt up the GRE practice book that is around here somewhere.

If that white trash pathetic excuse for a mother next door screams at her kids one more time today, I might have to go over there and bean her upside the head with something heavy. It's disturbing and unpleasant, that most awful awkwardness of seeing or hearing something that isn't your business but that is so wrong.

... I think The Prophecy is a wonderful movie. And Christopher Walken is probably one of the best actors I've ever seen. I mean, show me a man who can say about himself that he was a believable Bond-Villain, Angel and Soldierwithawatchinhisass and I show you a great actor. :) Well, in case you actually weren't complaining about the movie... Am tired and full of shit drugs, so maybe I wasn't perceptive enough to see that. *clears throat, shuffles, hides under hat*

Christopher Walken is just an amazing man. All that, and he dances! Damn. I wish I was that cool. He makes up for a not so great script in that movie.

Hope you feel better soon.

Eh, who cares about the script! ViggoMortensenChristopherWalkenEricStoltz! Eric Stoltz!

They wouldn't even have needed a script, they could have just filmed them doing whatever, and I'd still have gone to see the movie several times.

But I actually liked the film a whole lot, too. Not only the actors. Is it a trashy movie? Yes. Does it have quite a few annoying plotholes? You bet. But it's definitely very cool. Did I mention it has Eric Stoltz?

And thanks.

To the end of my days, I'm going to maintain that Christopher Walken was born to play Elric of Melnibone. Eric Stoltz would've made a fine Moonglum, come to that, if he weren't so tall.m

Oh my oh my. *looks speculatively at bookshelf* Now that's something I hadn't thought of and hmm... I think I'll start working on a casting list now.

i went to see it with a bunch of kids that i played live action with and all through the movie we were going:

'ooo...heightened senses...'

and the like

i'm dead serious. and forever i will associate that movie with vampire: the masquerade.
