I had a moment last night on the flight from St Louis, where the music was exactly what it should be, and the view of the cities glimmering beneath me between clouds was so amazing that I wanted to stop time and savor it for centuries.

My flights were pleasant and not too crowded. I tretched out across three seats and talked to a Russian couple visiting their daughter and grandchildren in America. Had hideous fun being searched, poked and prodded by airport security. But I love the Austin airport for the food and the music, and there was a smoking section right next to my gate in St Louis which reminded me of Frankfurt. I wore the tiara everywhere, and people kept asking me if I'd won a beauty pagent. Which is wildly funny if you've ever actually seen me, as I am something like 5'1".

Went out to the secret cabaret last night and walked down the street watching for rats, and it was happy. Now it is time to let the eating commence!

Now you just need a tiara too, and we could rule the Slavic department at Columbia! Because short women in tiaras are fabulous.
