tread softly for you tread on my dreams

Working on one's birthday sucks. There is no way around it. There was not even cake to redeem the evening. Jason was pretty funny though, and in a good mood since he and his fiancee just bought a house. Many people complimented my hat. I have recieved a great many birthday wishes from the net, and that was nice.

Melynda bought me shoes, very comfy black sandals that squish slightly when I walk. They are quite fabulous, and good timing because I just shredded my last pair of sandals after my trip. She is a good roommate.

On a bad roommate note, I woke up early from nightmares and stumbled out in the living room to put Equilibrium when Gene asked me to run the dryer for his laundry. I went off on how if my laundry winds up on the floor one more time there's going to be trouble at home. It was probably not the most appropriate moment, but it needed saying a long time ago.

My father never called. Well, I think I knew that was coming, but it was still painful. He probably didn't even remember.

I am happy, yet in a mood that defies easy explanation. Hence, I am moody and incomplete. My head aches and it is time for a dose of caffiene, perhaps even some romaine lettuce.

I hope your birthday was enjoyable, the good outweighing the bad. I understand about doing Terrible Things on your birthday and how unfair it is. I'm actually flying out of Petersburg at a terrible hour in the morning just so I didn't have to spend my birthday on an airplane. Instead, I'll spend it in Petersburg!

happy birthday, again!
Samantha

Thank you. It's been a rather pleasant day after all. Even if I have been lazier than sod.

So WTF? Is Austin famous for having lots of girls named Amanda, or was that just freakiness of a high order?

I think super freakiness. Maybe there are a lot of Amandas. I know four or five. But still!

I know places that are like that with Steves. But still. How odd.

That just cracks me up. Maybe some Onion staff member or graphics monkey just loves me.

Happy happy

I'm hoping the mid twenties will be less insane than the first couple. To twenties! Thank you.
