looks like a lovely spot amanda! you are so lucky that you don't have to worry that much about bad weather and such. austin in december seems just about right :)
about the alcohol-- maybe it was just our crowd , but i was worried that at least SOMEONE would get pretty trashed, and pretty much, nobody did. i have to say pretty much because my cousin who is a big macho guy, is also a two-drink wonder and was "assisting" the dj all night- he actually LIFTED dan to the dance floor at one point AND got my veryvery religious, "dancing is a sin" gramma on the dance floor! my mother told me about the bar bill because she was shocked by how low it was. it *was* low! i guess you just have to assess your crowd and decide. it ultimately comes down to what type of wedding YOU want. if you don't want people there very late- well, that's up to YOU! :) another way to prevent people *expecting* alcohol is to have the wedding at a non-traditional time, like the morning, and then have a lovely afternoon reception. tea anyone? (require them to where hats!)
