I think we have set a new record for most painless bridesmaid dress shopping. In and out of the store under an hour. We found a dress everyone is happy with, it's a reasonable price and a great color, very dark blue. The only catch is that they didn't have Melynda's size. We should know this evening or tomorrow whether it can be ordered, or if we'll need to just get one size off and have it altered. Either way, I think we'll be okay.

I found my shoes today, and they are comfy. Thank all the gods for that. Silver, and with a sort of sparkly beading much like the beading on my dress. I'm fairly pleased with myself for being so coordinated on my own. Who knew?

Once I get the bra, I need to take the dress to be altered. No idea how much that is going to be, but it can't be so bad I think. It makes me really happy that we're pulling this off without a lot of money, and that it's not a complicated nightmare. Our families are both helping us out some as well, with things like the cake and the reception. So far I've only had one freak out, and it wasn't too bad.

In other news, the house is mostly clean, we've eaten most of the olives and I would like a nap. Melynda bought Two Towers and only paid $16. Rachel bought us all lunch, and it was grand.

You have earned at least 200 experience points for your bridesmaid-dressing finesse. Even being a male who has been involved in very few wedding planning issues over the course of my life, I've heard more than enough bridesmaid dress debacle stories and endless cattiness over what to choose. Kudos.

Where was the Two Towers on sale for $16?

Best Buy! It was marked $19.99 but rang up as $15.99. Much better than the $29.99 Blockbuster wants for it.

Makes me wonder if I'd be hit with the same luck trying to purchase it. I'd rather dance around in a tutu with a goat on the top of Mount Rushmore than willingly give Blockbuster money.

That's a very interesting mental image... even having no idea what you look like.

I am sooooo very tempted to recreate the image in Photoshop.
