boredom
I have less than fifty certs in my queue. Not a good sign. No wonder work is dragging so miserably slow. I donated $10 to the American Heart Association for the gleeful knowledge that my supervisor will be up at the crack of dawn jogging through downtown. Yes and that warm fuzzy feeling of "doing good" or whatever the nice answer is there. Anyhow I haven't made much in the way of charitable contributions all year, so I thought what the hell. I'm as fickle with my charities as I am with brands, and as such I am every marketing advisor's nightmare. The only reason I continue to smoke Camels is because it would be too much of a hassle to get Alan to switch brands every time I bought a carton.
Alan made salmon with lemon and rosemary, and a cream sauce to go along with it. I cooked some spinach/ricotta tortellini to go alongside, and much deliciousness was had by all. I swoon for the boy's cooking skills. He just makes things up, so far they've all come out well.
I think the clock on my computer is slow. Fun.
My father called me this evening, and it seemed to go well. I am still sort of surprised. Guess I should call the rest of the family now.
In an effort to combat these feelings of being a grown up person, I will instead devote my mental energies towards figuring out what I'm going to do with my D&D character. I'm thinking alchemical engineering, actually. That, and Alan and I are trying to figure out who wins when we pit all our characters against each other. Roland and Lucius are fairly well matched, and the only way to tell who wins is to see who wins the initiative roll. Too bad I don't have my dice in my pocket or we could settle this right now. I still say Lucius would make cufflinks out of that vampire's teeth...
