I brought Alan home, as he's still sick and doesn't seem to be getting better. Took off to the nearest grocery store at 1:30 in the morning to buy tea, oreos, mushrooms and orange juice, along with a few other things to tide us over the next couple of days. Poor boy. I'm starting to feel guilty as everyone around me is sick and I'm not. Maybe I have that plague resistance gene somewhere in my code.

This weekend I finished Cornwell's Arthur trilogy. Even knowing it couldn't turn out happy didn't stop me from hoping. Amazing books, ones I would recommend to just about anyone who picks up books. It's got a good take on history, and weaves in just the right amount of magic. The emotional arc is superbly crafted. This Arthur seems more real to me than the most popular idea. Lancelot's a skeevy bastard in these though. I wanted him dead from the very first time he appeared on the page.

Reading another Cornwell book now, Gallow's Thief. Some very graphic descriptions of hangings in there, seems to be an all around dashing mystery.

Maybe you're the 1 person in 10 who doesn't die from Ebola that I'm reading about! You have super genes!

I hope Alan gets to feeling better soon. Make him drink lots of tea. I could find my dad's chicken soup recipe if you'd like.
In the meantime, you stay healthy. Take lots of zinc and vit.C
