my first apartment

I was just thinking about how much I like my apartment. I've lived here since June of 1999. It has been such a wonderful first apartment. In a nice complex, near the things I need, in a safe neighborhood. The place is spacious, with new grey carpet and blue-white walls and two glass doors onto a porch. Northern light through my windows, and a fire place. A big bathroom with lots of counter space. High ceilings. A space for my washer and dryer. It stays fairly cool in the summer.

I wish I had taken more pictures of this place. I love it and I will miss it when I move out in a few months. There is something so satisfying about laying on my living room floor, looking around me. This place, this place that has been mine for almost two years now. I hadn't realized how I fond of this place I was until I started thinking about leaving.

i like your apartment, too. i think it's one of the best apartments i've ever seen, and i've looked at lots in my various quests for housing... you definitely lucked out and picked right.

and leaving one's first apartment is not fun. i still miss my first place, and it wasn't even that special. there's something about the first place that's truly yours and no one else's that can never be replicated...
