I can't remember if work has always been this unbearably slow or if it is just some trick of my mind. Have I hated all my jobs equally? Most likely. It's not so much I mind working, doing things, so much as I mind endless tasks, tedious details, and the general atmosphere of working in an office. My coworkers frequently shock me with their general ignorance, and I know I shouldn't be surprised I know this country is full of people who wouldn't open a book if you paid them... but still. Crikey.

We need to go buy food things for the mandatory party tomorrow at work. My enthusiasm can barely be contained you see. But at least tomorrow is Friday, and we will come in early so we can leave as soon as possible.

On the bright side I just heard the most hilarious story of Jeeps and soft tops and running across fields at night. I would type it down but I wouldn't want my coworker to be arrested.

It sounds like an intriguing tale; you'll have to tell me sometime.
Have fun with the party. I guess you could always come down with food poisoning right before the meeting. If you're already not gettng paid for the time, what do you have to lose? Just an idea.
