Food day was a farce and a half I think. We appeared to be the only group not serving barbecue or having some Americana themed presentation. I was amused. Honestly, ours did sweep the competition in terms of presentation as we had carved pumpkins, things hanging from the ceiling, garlands of leaves and mini pumpkins, and a punch bowl with floating eyeballs. The pie was by far the best dessert from what I could tell. It damn well better be considering how much sugar went into it.

How funny, that I feel vaguely competitive about the pie even though I couldn't give a damn about the overall competition at all.

Drinking hot chocolate and praying for the end of my shift.
