Our potential new dinnerware. Just in case you really wanted to know.

Now what movie to watch next? It's been an awfully long time since I saw The Opposite of Sex and lord knows how much SNL bites these days.

Thanks really pretty dinnerware. it looks like a waterford/wedgewood pattern but the price is much more reasonable. :) that's a *GOODTHING* because you are more likely to get a full set! mikasa is top quality too. my mother bought a discontinued mikasa for her everyday and she uses it all the time- likes it better than her formal lenox :) (of course, her formal lenox is pretty bleh , very 70s...sorting, um, boring?)

have you picked out pretty glasses too? flatware? we went for a very obscure glassware pattern (i got it for christmas / bridal shower from my parents) and decided just to go with stainless for the time being since our china was very pricey. eventually i would LOVE sterling, and honestly, i would use it everyday-- it's the best way to avoid polishing.

it's staggering how expensive all this stuff is. i splurged on my bday to complete my china pattern for 8...as soon as i did that i thought "wouldn't it be better to have 12?" "wouldn't it be nice to have fruit bowls?" "wouldn't the coffeepot be lovely?" then i realized to handle dan's family and mine (adults only)- we would need 14! oh lordy! ::)

mikasa makes really nice crystal as well. :) HAVE FUN!! :)
(oh- most importantly, does gramma approve? :)

We still need to pick out some glassware and whatnot. I've been mostly staring at all the kitchen appliances. ;)

Granny does indeed approve. She thinks I've inherited her shopping gene.

kitchen appliances are gooooooooooooooood , but remember that things like waffle irons are 20 dollars and people really like to get them , but you'll love your china/crystal/irishlinen etcetc so much more in the long rung (if you remember to play with it! :)

now, if people want to give you cusinarts and espresso makers and kitchenaids.... go for it! :)
