UNITED STATES: AMERICAN CROSSWORD PUZZLE COMPETITION

Sharpen your pencils because the nation's oldest and largest
crossword competition is starting today in Stamford, Connecticut.
Solvers from the United States and Canada will compete on eight
original puzzles specially developed for this event. They are
scored based on accuracy and speed. This tournament is in its
24th year.

wow! i dunno how i got to yer journal, but you write about interesting news.

i'm going to be taking russian in the fall at school--- i'm a bit afraid, i hear it's difficult!

Heh thanks. Good luck with the Russian. It looks really scary at first, but once you get into it things go smoothly. Just memorize your cases! That is the tricky part.

Um well. I'm not thoroughly versed in my grammar but.. cases are aspects of the language I suppose. EX- Accusative case is for direct objects. Instead of having articles and things, Russian changes the end of the word. Each case has a different set of endings. I'm probably not explaining it quite right. Trust me, it will make sense in class. :)
