almost christmas

threeplusfireI braved the 360/183 shopping nightmare today. Lucky for me, I went kind of early and so it was easy enough to park and wander. Not too bad altogether. I had a peppermint mocha because my brain was melting from lack of caffiene. Picked up presents for Melynda, my father, my sister and a little gift for Alan to unwrap. I think I did pretty good though the trick now is wrapping them. I am not so good with the bows.
We have many Christmas cards. I should start writing thank you notes. Sarah's card came in the mail, with snow beasts on the front. Yay snow beasts, and thank you. :)
It was good to get out on my own, wander in the wind and sun for a bit and look at the Christmas decorations. Made the holiday season a bit more real for me. I miss being younger, experiencing time in small segments, the build up to Christmas. This will be the first Christmas morning of my life when I'm not at my mother's house. I'm kind of afraid of that.
