Jan. 7th, 2004 01:55 pmI suppose this is my own damn fault for something I did.
Someone smashed out my passenger side window. Took my car stereo and every cd I owned, including cds belonging to a couple friends. CDs that were made me for me and cds I bought overseas that I probably won't ever be able to replace. All gone.
I'm waiting for the police to show up, and then I suppose I'll talk to my insurance company. I can't even remmber right now if I have coverage for this sort of stuff. I don't think I do. It occurs to me that I haven't any idea how much it will cost to replace that window.

Date: 2004-01-07 12:10 pm (UTC)Hopefully something surprising will happen and your insurance will cover it, or they'll catch the guy trying to sell the stuff. Maybe you should contact Waterloo/Cheapo/other stores and put them on the look out for certain CDs that are rare and hard to find? Do they even do things like that? It could be worth a shot.

Cheers...

Date: 2004-01-07 01:36 pm (UTC)Stuff like that is why original CDs rarely leave my house any more. If I want to take it with me, I burn a copy and take that. A little extreme, I guess, but at least my out-of-print Showgirls soundtrack is safe.
