I love going to Mass on a cloudy morning, and coming out into the sunshine. There are so many wildflowers out there. Red and pink and yellow and purple and blue and white and orange. My favorites are the ones that look almost like bright blue dandelions.

Going to the UFA Oscar Party tonight. I promised Deb I would join so she can have someone help her out with Jump Cut (student film competition). So I get to be on selection committee. Yippee. My first year of college, my friends and I submitted our stop motion, shot-on-a-quick-cam, black & white version of Beowulf. We used McFarlane Spawn figures, and Star Wars figures. It was incredibly funny and wonderful. Won third place.

Time to go find a tshirt and play outside. If you need me, I'll be home late.

Hey Amanda! Your entries so often celebrate the hill country blooms. Your joyful spirit seems to weave among them -- I imagine you sun-drenched, a young spirit the angels hang with for rejuvenation after trying days... Shine on!

Every day I think about skipping class to play outside. I've done it a few times, don't tell my professors! ;) This really is the best time of year in Texas, when everything is still green and the true heat hasn't arrived.
